Heroes should get broken bones and concussions which make them unable to participate in battle, or make them otherwise useless. If a hero goes to the sanitarium there should be only a 40% chance to cure the disease, while paired with a 30% chance to get another disease and a 5% chance to die outright from the medieval treatment methods. How come people always think realism should be paired with making the game easier? How about, if a hero gets the black plague they die immediately. Why aren't the immersion fans asking for these sorts of changes? Nope it's always 'make it so I know when a hunger event will happen' or 'reduce the stres damage'. Likewise the close range shot of a crossbow should kill or incapacitate every hero. I say if you want immersion all heroes except the crusader, MAA, Leper and Bountyhunter (who are wearing armor at least) should die or become terribly wounded and incapable of continuing when struck by a pigman's giant spiked flail. The thing I find funny is that when players complain about "immersion", "realism" and such the changes they insist are only for the purpose of reasonableness always make the game easier. It's one of the few contemporary games that could be transformed into a boardgame (A fiddly, very long playing, too many rules sort of boardgame, but still). Is it? Good thing it models combat between monsters and humans armed with fantasy weapons in the true to life congo line fashion.ĭarkest Dungeon is a highly gamefied set of mechanics with a lovely art and sound overlay. If something is illogical, and thus detrimental to a player's immersion, then it should be changed. Mittsies a écrit : Darkest Dungeon is a game about immersion and atmosphere, not complex gameplay mechanics.
